Grace Walker Physical Therapist Uses Her Professional Background to Help Others


Grace Walker, DPT, OTD, has nearly four decades of experience and has been director of Walker Physical Therapy and Pain Center since 1982. Prior to establishing her private practice, she relocated from Canada in 1977 and held a number of positions in healthcare centers throughout Orange County. In order to supplement her undergraduate education from the University of British Columbia, Grace Walker also completed Doctoral studies in both physical therapy and occupational therapy at the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, as well as a postdoctoral fellowship with the Gray Institute. Grace Walker was Valedictorian of the class of 2005. In addition to managing Walker Physical Therapy and Pain Center, she regularly serving as an active guest lecturer and associate faculty member at California State University. A published scholar, she has contributed to the Journal of the American Physical Therapy Association, Orange County Physical Therapy Association Bulletin, The Impressions Dental Journal, "The Aging Brain", a publication of the Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders, University of California, Irvine Ca. In addition to using her professional background to help others, Walker and her husband support a number of charitable activities such as the American Heart Association, Go Red for Women campaign and Stop Hunger Now initiatives.
